Refunds: 14 days from purchase, no questions asked, through the same checkout you bought from.
1.1 "Product" means any digital item sold at fitlifefun.ai and everything delivered with it, including any updates we provide for the same edition.
1.2 "Guides" means the written and visual instructional material in a Product: PDFs, course materials, reference sheets, diagrams, figures, photographs, and page layouts.
1.3 "Code" means source code, scripts, configuration files, firmware, and build tooling delivered in a Product.
1.4 "Design Files" means CAD models, STL/3MF/STEP files, Gerber and PCB files, G-code, wiring diagrams, laser and CNC toolpaths, and similar fabrication files delivered in a Product.
1.5 "Outputs" means anything you make by following, running, compiling, printing, or machining from a Product: physical devices, printed parts, compiled binaries, and your own derivative code.
1.6 "Licensed User" means one natural person. Under a Single-User License, that is the purchaser. Under a Team License, that is each of up to ten (10) named individuals within one organization.
1.7 "Third-Party Components" means software, libraries, board support packages, fonts, and other materials in a Product that are owned by others and provided under their own licenses.
2.1 Single-User License. On payment, we grant each Licensed User a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:
(a) download, store, and view the Guides on any devices the Licensed User controls; (b) run, compile, modify, and create derivative works of the Code and Design Files; (c) build unlimited Outputs for personal, educational, internal business, or commercial purposes; (d) distribute Outputs, including selling hardware that contains compiled firmware or parts derived from the Design Files, without royalty or attribution; (e) incorporate the Code and Design Files, modified or unmodified, into the Licensed User's own software or hardware products, and into work performed for clients or an employer, provided the Code and Design Files are not themselves redistributed as described in Section 3.
2.2 Team License. A Team License extends the rights in 2.1 to up to ten (10) named Licensed Users within a single legal entity. Seats may be reassigned when a person leaves the organization. Additional seats require an additional Team License.
2.3 Public Excerpts. Any Licensed User may publicly reproduce up to fifty (50) lines from any single Code file, and up to two hundred (200) words from any single Guide, for the purpose of commentary, support, education, review, or attribution, provided the excerpt is credited to fitlifefun.ai.
2.4 Educational Use. Instructors who wish to distribute a Product to students, or use it as the basis of a course, class, or workshop, require a Team License or a written classroom agreement from us. Contact us before the first session.
2.5 Updates. Updates and errata to the edition purchased are included at no charge, delivered through the original checkout provider. A new edition is a new Product.
Except as expressly permitted in Section 2, you may not:
3.1 Distribute, publish, upload, share, sell, rent, lend, sublicense, or otherwise make available the Guides, Code, or Design Files, in whole or in substantial part, in original or modified form, to any person who is not a Licensed User under the same license. This includes public and private source repositories, file-sharing services, chat servers, forums, and direct transfer.
3.2 Resell the Product, include it in a bundle, subscription, membership, or paid community, or use it as the basis for a competing guide, course, tutorial series, or product line.
3.3 Use a Single-User License for more than one person, or a Team License for more than the licensed number of seats or across more than one legal entity.
3.4 Remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trademark, or license notice in the Product.
3.5 Represent the Product, or any Output that is substantially the Product itself, as your own original work.
3.6 Use the Product in a way that violates applicable law, including radio regulations (see Section 6.3).
4.1 The Product is licensed, not sold. Fundamentals Works LLC retains all right, title, and interest in the Guides, Code, and Design Files, including all copyrights.
4.2 You own your Outputs and your modifications, subject to our continuing ownership of the underlying Product.
4.3 Third-Party Components are owned by their respective owners and are provided under their own license terms, which are listed in the THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES file in each Product where applicable. Where a Third-Party Component's license conflicts with this license, the Third-Party Component's license governs that component.
5.1 "fitlifefun.ai" and the product names in our catalog are trademarks of Fundamentals Works LLC.
5.2 Claude is a trademark of Anthropic, PBC. ESP32 is a trademark of Espressif Systems. Raspberry Pi is a trademark of Raspberry Pi Ltd. Arduino is a trademark of Arduino SA. Meshtastic is a trademark of Meshtastic LLC. All other marks belong to their owners.
5.3 Fundamentals Works LLC and fitlifefun.ai are independent and are not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or partnered with Anthropic, Espressif, Raspberry Pi Ltd, Arduino SA, Meshtastic LLC, or any other company whose products or marks are referenced. Product names and marks are used only to identify the tools and components the Guides teach.
5.4 This license grants no right to use any trademark, ours or anyone else's, except to accurately describe what you built.
6.1 You build at your own risk. The projects involve, among other hazards: mains voltage, lithium and lithium-iron-phosphate batteries, soldering, radio frequency transmission, high-power LEDs, lasers, spinning cutting tools, hot extruders, and heavy moving machinery. The Guides include safety notes. Reading and following them, and applying your own judgment, is your responsibility.
6.2 Bill of materials. Component sourcing, prices, and availability in any Guide were accurate on the date stated in that Guide. Verify part specifications against the manufacturer's datasheet before purchase and before applying power.
6.3 Radio. Some projects transmit on frequencies that require a license (for example, an amateur radio license under FCC Part 97 in the United States) or that are subject to power, bandwidth, duty-cycle, and equipment-certification rules. You are solely responsible for holding any required license and for compliance with the radio regulations of every jurisdiction in which you operate. We do not certify any project for regulatory compliance.
6.4 Not for safety-critical use. The Products are educational. Do not use them, or Outputs derived from them, in medical, life-support, vehicle-control, industrial-safety, or other applications where failure could cause injury, death, or significant property damage.
THE PRODUCT IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY THAT THE CODE OR DESIGN FILES ARE ERROR-FREE OR WILL FUNCTION ON HARDWARE, SOFTWARE, OR TOOLCHAIN VERSIONS OTHER THAN THOSE EACH GUIDE IDENTIFIES AS TESTED.
8.1 TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FUNDAMENTALS WORKS LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, OFFICERS, AND CONTRACTORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR PERSONAL INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE, LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR DAMAGED HARDWARE, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE PRODUCT OR ANY OUTPUT, HOWEVER CAUSED AND UNDER ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY.
8.2 OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY UNDER THIS LICENSE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE PRODUCT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
8.3 Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations. Where that applies to you, the limitations above apply to the fullest extent the law permits, and nothing in this license limits any consumer rights that cannot be waived.
9.1 You may request a full refund within fourteen (14) days of purchase for any reason, through the checkout provider you purchased from. The license terminates on refund and you must delete all copies.
9.2 Where you are a consumer in a jurisdiction that grants a statutory withdrawal right for digital content, that right applies as provided by law and is not reduced by this section.
10.1 This license is perpetual unless terminated.
10.2 We may terminate your license on written notice if you materially breach Section 3 and do not cure the breach within fourteen (14) days of notice. On termination you must stop using and delete all copies of the Guides, Code, and Design Files. Sections 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10.2, and 11 survive termination. Outputs you built before termination remain yours.
11.1 Governing law and venue. This license is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Collin County, Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except that consumers may have the right to bring claims in their home jurisdiction under applicable law.
11.2 Entire agreement. This license, together with the checkout provider's terms of sale and any product-specific terms stated on the product page, is the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Product.
11.3 Severability. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect and the provision is enforced to the maximum extent permitted.
11.4 No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it.
11.5 Assignment. You may not transfer this license. We may assign it to a successor in interest to the business.
11.6 Changes. We may publish revised license versions for future purchases. The version delivered with your Product governs your Product.
